Uninsured Loss Recovery
At WNS Assistance, we believe that the true test of an uninsured loss recovery service is in its ability to recover uninsured outlay on non-fault claims. That ability can be measured by the speed of recovery and the amount recovered. Our unique system of working consistently achieves both. In 2006, for example, we recovered 70% of all monies on non-fault cases within 30 days of the accident. This enviable success rate, moreover, was achieved at a modest service price.
Uninsured Loss Recovery (ULR) can be purchased as a stand alone Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI) policy or as a service in its own right. Whilst the LEI policy has a fixed premium cost we have a number of options available when providing a ULR service. Costs can be based on a percentage of the recovered sum (with sensible upper and lower thresholds) or on a fixed cost per claim basis. Fundamentally, the service delivery includes the following:
- Legal Expenses to £100,000
A lawyer and up to £100,000 legal expenses is provided to instigate court proceedings where reasonable prospects of a recovery exist.
- Personal Injury Claims
In the event of injury, our on-site solicitors are instructed to arrange medical examination and treatment and press for maximum compensation.
- Emergency Telephone Help Line
Instant access to specialist support and advice.
- 'Like For Like' Replacement Vehicle Facility
If WNS Assistance considers an accident to be non-fault, we will arrange for a 'like for like' replacement vehicle. On assessing liability, if accepted, we will arrange with the driver for a similar vehicle to be supplied at an agreed location / time at no charge to the client. The vehicle will be supplied for the duration of the repair or until such time as a vehicle is considered a total loss. Cars, vans and commercial vehicles are sourced at competitive hire rates. These costs are borne by the client and then recovered through the scheme as a head of claim.
- Diminution of Value
An additional head of claim for newer low mileage vehicles on non-fault cases.
- Recovery Reporting
Real-time Internet reporting on the position of outstanding and fully-recovered incidents.
- Driver Licence Defence
Legal assistance in defending an insured driver against possible licence disqualification.
